At this moment, I am now in front of my computer and try to think an explanation about the topic that I want to share and talk about with my fellow students. Educational Technology followed with the questions “IS IT A BOON OR BANE? ” Maybe some readers may found this and read but then, they will ignore.  But, there are some  readers are actually catches their attention and continue to read,  learn,  understand and make some reaction that only themselves will know.  How about you?  Are you in or out?

At this stage of our life, i know that there are some people who is surely wondering about the life of the people who lives without technologies. Imagine, if time machine really exist and you being throw to the past. How will you manage to live without internet access?  Not easy right?

Way back 1980’s wherein technologies are not totally spread out.  Students on that year depends only to their teachers, they learn from their words and actions. For their assignments, paper works,  projects and research, the library is the only their source of information.  For the teachers, they have their sleepless nights just to make a visual aid and lesson plan for tomorrows presentation. They also make a manual computation for the grades of their students. For a real life learning, they also need to have their educational tour for a face to face experience to the changing reality.  For their communication, what they need to do is to make a a letter and send it to the  recipient then wait for their reply.

In this present time and all of us are part of it.  We benefit the intelligence who invented this technology. It makes everything easy as if in just one flick of your finger all is done. As we compare our life today in the past, no doubt that this is the Life that we wanted for so long.

For me, studying is the way of our success. But, before you can have the first step for your future there are so many things that you need to go through. Because of the help of technologies, we can make things much better.  For assignments, research, projects, school works, yes! Library is a source of information but because of technology.  In just one click, all the information you need will appear. For report, we don’t need to torture ourselves in making visual aids (write in Manila paper, cut colored stuffs for designs) because we have that what we call PowerPoint.  By simply downloading for the report that you need, your presentation is automatically ready.

Educational Technology is a Boon for me,  YES! It can help us in many things! YES, it can help us to be a better person, YES, it is a life changing and YES, I can say that it is a blessing. it is good to appreciate things that can ease of what we are doing. But, give yourself a limitation because ” Lahat ng sobra masama “. Have a discipline and don’t let the technology destroy you. 

“With the use of technology,  we can make things possible.” just use it right. Technology is not a course but a blessing.
